I have worked for a service company for the last 2 years. Everything was fine until about 6 months ago when the company was taken over by a large multi-national. At first there weren't too many changes, but now the biggest change is with my boss. I used to get on with him just fine, and he respected me and my work without question. Now he has changed completely. Nothing I do is good enough for him and he has me just filing and running around after him all day. He just won't let me use my own initiative any more and micro manages me all the time. It's like I am not working for the same person.
How can a person change the way they treat you so much? I want my old job back, I just don't know what to do.

Hi Eezer,
Sounds like your boss is being leaned on from above. I was in the same situation in my previous job, and I can tell you that the changes came in faster than you can flip a coin. I mean everything changed.. red tape, different procedures, a whole new way of working. Everyone feared for their job, friends became enemies and believe me everyone became a whole lot more selfish in the bargain!!
You need to wake up to what is going on around you! If your situation develops in any way like mine did, you will never get your old job back because it simply doesn't exist any more. If you don't like they way your job is going, get out while you can!!! Remember, the new owners don't care a jot about you or your co-workers. You need to look after yourself and your own interests and sanity now.

Thanks for your reply frog man. I think you must work for the same company cos that is too right. All I can say right now is I feel just so stressed. My confidence has gone, I mean I know I shouldn't let these guys get to me, but I just don't know what to do. This guy has totally changed.. I think someone took his brain right out and replaced it with a whole pile of bull sh**!
