Cognitive Deficit

My boss makes over 100,000K a year. She was recently told by her boss that she needs to ease some of my patient workload by assisting people to connect with financial resources to pay for medical care--so that I (the RN) can focus on the medial aspect of navigating cancer. I spent over two hours trying to go over the basics. I could tell by the notes she was taking that she wouldn't understand as soon as I walked out of the room. Now all she does is call me every time she has to help someone. I takes longer to help her understand what to do than to just help the freakin' patients!!! ARRRGHHHH

This is the fourth time I have heard of an individual earning over $100K per year who did not do their job well or who did not understand the work of their subordinates. What is it with these hiring procedures? More importantly, how can I get a job making $100K per year and spend most of my time delegating responsibility to others around me?

Sorry for your dilemma. I know it is a pain in the neck. I just wish I could be a pain in the neck like that to someone for $100K per year!
