I work in a small office (about 12 people). Over the past two years the married, front desk employee has been showing some interesting behavior...new boobs, new car, new clothes, etc. that I can't believe she can afford. Also, my employer who had outspokenly considered her an average employee in the past, has been singing her praises up and down the hallway. She has become 'irreplaceable' to use his words. Now these are the most subtle clues to their affair. There are many more but the biggie was when his wife started hanging around the office to check up on him and began asking questions about his relationship with her. She openly admitted that she had a terrible feeling that he was cheating with her. Anyway this wouldn't normally be my problem except the hoar has made it my problem. I am a very hard and smart worker and she is jealous. Every time I get a 'special' assignment and do well at it, she starts with attitude (not saying hello, complaining non-stop about me and even pretended to quit for attention). Now I have to decide in this crappy economy if I bail or stick it out - maybe not accept any 'special' assignments and just lay low at the office so she doesn't get jealous??
